            据PennEnergy网站9月14日开罗报道，埃及过渡政府总理哈齐姆?贝卜拉维14日在开罗接受路透社记者采访时表示，埃及政府已初步认可向外国石油公司偿还60亿美元债务的期限。该国政府与外国石油公司已达成一项协议，在两年内将使来自外国石油公司的投资增加到150亿美元。
            贝卜拉维说：“我们现在欠外国石油公司大约60亿美元的债务。这是导致外国石油公司停止投资的原因。”他补充说：“我们即将与外国石油公司达成一项旨在安排债务的协议。”

            Egypt's interim Prime Minister, Hazem el-Beblawi, has said the
            government is close to agreeing a schedule for repaying $6bn in
            outstanding debt to foreign oil companies, Reuters has reported.
            Reaching an agreement would lead to a rise in investments from the
            companies to $15bn within two years, said el-Beblawi. "We are in
            debt to foreign oil firms for around $6 billion, which is what led
            them to stop investing. We are on the verge of reaching an agreement
            with them to schedule the debts," he said.
