            据路透社4月30日开罗报道，埃及国有天然气公司的一名官员30日在开罗表示，埃及已把22个油气勘探租借区国际拍卖的投标截止日期延长到了7月3日。
            埃及此次国际拍卖所涉及的22个油气租借区位于苏伊士运河、埃及西部沙漠、地中海和尼罗河三角洲。国际公司原先提交这些租借区报价的截止日期是在5月19日。
            埃及石油总公司和埃及天然气控股公司没有给出延长投标截止日期的原因，但是，埃及天然气控股公司的一名消息提供者说，延长投标截止日期是应那些希望有更多的时间进行可行性研究的公司的要求。
            消息人士说，两周前，一批公司要求埃及石油总公司和埃及天然气控股公司推迟投标的截止日期，这样，他们能够有更多时间评价租借区的可行性研究并提供最好的报价。

            Egypt Extends Bidding Deadline For 22 Oil, Gas Concessions
            CAIRO, April 30 (Reuters) - Egypt has extended the bidding deadline
            to July 3 in an international auction of 22 concessions for oil and
            gas exploration, an official with the state-owned gas company said
            on Wednesday.
            The previous deadline for companies to submit bids for concessions
            in the Suez Canal, Egypt's western desert, the Mediterranean sea and
            the Nile Delta had been May 19.
            Egypt's General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and state-owned Natural
            Gas Holding Company (EGAS) did not give a reason for the delay, but
            an EGAS source said the deadline was pushed back at the request of
            companies who wanted more time for feasibility studies.
            "A group of companies submitted a request to EGAS and EGPC two weeks
            ago to postpone the closing date of the bidding so they can assess
            the feasibility studies for the concession areas and offer the best
            deals," the source said.
